
The French XV is coming off a historic victory against Namibia in the World Cup (96-0). The greatest success in its history, which was darkened by the injury of Antoine Dupont, who has since had facial surgery, and who will miss the match against Italy on October 6 and perhaps the quarter-final. Former French international Imanol Harinordoquy in any case appreciated this French match.
The XV of France strolled on the lawn of the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille against weak Namibians (96-0). A match which served to produce some great play and to enjoy the moment, in a red-hot stadium. This meeting had to be approached seriously, something done for the men of Fabien Galthié.

Consultant at Olympic Middaythe former vice-world champion in 2011 with the XV of France, Imanol Harinordoquy, gave his opinion on the match Blues in front of the Namibia : « This kind of match is part of the history of World Cups. In the group stage, there have always been tough matches, and others not at all… But when I see the seriousness, the consistency and the technical accuracy of the players of the XV of France at the Vélodrome, I say to myself that this match at least allowed the Blues to have fun and please their supporters. »
