While his file continues to fuel rumors, Damian Lillard has been rather active lately. Recently, the Portland leader notably addressed the case of Golden State and the least we can say is that he did not go there with the back of the spoon. Steph Curry and others will appreciate it.
Where will Damian Lillard play next season? At the moment, no one has an answer to this question. We know that the leader of the Blazers wants to join the Heat and if the latest rumors indicate that the two franchises have become closer, nothing says that this will happen. Especially since the Bucks would also act as a submarine, with the idea of associating him with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
You will have understood, a departure of Portland’s all-time top scorer would imply that he lands with a big name, he who is aiming for the title. On the other hand, there is a team at the top of the table that absolutely does not interest him and that is the Warriors. The guy is however originally from the Bay of Oakland, but he was recently particularly clear on this subject, on the podcast It Is What It Is :
Warriors never an option for Damian Lillard
Damian Lillard says he would rather lose ‘every year’ before joining Golden State
“I respect what they’ve been doing over the last eight, nine years or whatever and I’m from there obviously. That’s home. But I can’t be a part of that…. It don’t even make sense. I never do… pic.twitter.com/2hoVn69oG6

I respect what they’ve done over the last eight, nine years or whatever and I obviously come from there. It is the house. But I can’t be part of it… It doesn’t even make sense. I will never do anything like that. Rather lose every year than go there.
Stephen Curry & co. will appreciate the spicy remark, Lady DOLLA really doesn’t seem enthusiastic about their project.
If his trade request to Miami may seem to indicate the opposite, No. 0 has never hidden the fact that he wanted to win with Rip City rather than with a superteam. This is why he has repeatedly resisted the sirens of the Lakers in particular, wishing to go to the end with his always frankness. Which most likely cost him several opportunities to put a ring on his finger…
We are aware you enjoy losing

We know that you like to lose
No one questions the success of the Warriors’ method, not even Damian Lillard. However, don’t count on the superstar point guard to join the Bay before the end of his career, that’s really not in his plans. It remains to be seen where he will play during the 2023-24 campaign…
