Rugby World Cup 2023 – The composition of Italy against New Zealand: Ange Capuozzo on the wing, Paolo Garbisi number 10…

Italy will face New Zealand with several important changes from their success against Uruguay. Ange Capuozzo will start on the wing while Paolo Garbisi will return to his place as fly-half.

Change of strategy for Italy. With ten points on the clock, Kieran Crowley’s men play part of their World Cup against New Zealand (September 29, 9 p.m.). In the hope of making a big move against the All Blacks, the Nazionale coach has chosen to modify his back line. Stephen Vanrey will form the hinge with Paolo Garbisi, until now aligned in the center, while Tommaso Allan will start at the back.

Italy’s starting XV: 15. Allan ; 14. Capuozzo, 13. Brex, 12. Morisi, 11. Ioane; 10. P. Garbisi, 9. Varney ; 7. Lamaro (cap.), 8. L. Cannone, 6. Negri; 5. Ruzza, 4. Lamb; 3. Riccioni, 2. Nicotera, 1. Fischetti.

Substitutes: 16. Faiva, 17. Nemer, 18. Ferrari, 19. N. Cannone, 20. Zuliani, 21. Halafihi, 22. Page-Relo, 23. Odogwu.

As a logical consequence of this new composition, Ange Capuozzo will start the match on the wing, taking the place of Lorenzo Pani. Monty Ioane guards the left wing while Luca Morisi and Juan Ignacio Brex. Up front, only one change is to be noted. Dino Lamb replaces Niccolo Cannone on the second row. Note that Martin Page-Relo will start on the bench and should start his second World Cup match.
