The Toulouse Stadium and the viewers of New Zealand – Namibia were seized with fear when they saw the terrible injury of Le Roux Malan. The referee of the match, Luke Pearce, even stopped himself from watching the scene.
Luke Pearce tried, but the referee quickly turned away. In the 18th minute of the New Zealand – Namibia match, Le Roux Malan seriously injured his ankle. On a tackle that seemed innocuous, the Namibian center completely twisted his ankle and screamed in pain on the pitch at the Toulouse Stadium. Faced with this injury, the match referee, Luke Pearce, tried to come to the player’s bedside, but the Englishman finally turned around in a funny way, jumping.
The referee then put his back to the player while waiting for his exit. Malan’s injury froze for several minutes the Toulouse enclosure before the game resumes. The absence of the center hurt the Namibian forward line which was never able to escape from the grip of the All Blacks. With a heavy 71-3 defeat against the three-time world champions, Allister Coetzee’s men will try to thwart the plans of the French XV this Thursday.
