For once, Stade Toulouse has been awarded the prize for best training center in the Top 14. This Monday, February 6, the National Rugby League published the ranking based on the 2022-2023 season. . Several criteria allow the Haut-Garonnais club to renew their first place. Several criteria evaluated by the LNR. Firstly, academic efficiency, the League takes into account playing time (50%), professional contracts signed (30%) and selections (20%) of players trained in clubs. The educational effectiveness of the centers is also judged, the League looks at the diplomas obtained by the young players (60%), the level of training (20%) and the achievement of educational objectives (20%).
Bordeaux climbs to 2nd place, Toulon subscribes to the bottom of the class
Compared to last season, the ranking has not undergone any upheaval, fortunately for some, unfortunately for others. Thus, the Union Bordeaux-Bègles climbs to the second step of the podium, undoubtedly helped by the emergence of Louis Bielle-Biarrey and Nicolas Depoortere. Lyon then completes this leading trio. At the other end of this ranking, and like last season, Toulon occupies 14th place in the training center championship just ahead of Pau which was 9th last year.
“Trained in Béziers”, guarantee of quality
The National Rugby League establishes the same classification for Pro D2 teams. Thus, the training center of the‘ASBH obtains the gold medal of the second national level, just ahead of Aurillace. Biarritz, although in great difficulty on a sporting level this season, places third. Soyaux Angoulême and Montauban occupy the last two places in this ranking from which the promoted and relegated have been exempt.
