OM did not exist and took a beating against PSG at the end of the 6th day of Ligue 1. A heavy 4-0 defeat which ends a very complicated week both on and off the field. Here is Jordan Veretout’s rating and appreciation during this match.
After an unsuccessful match but a more positive attitude on Thursday against a weak Ajax, the Marseille were to confirm this desire against PSG on Sunday. It was an apathetic team without character that showed up at the Park suffering a heavy defeat and scoring goals very quickly. Unable to react apart from a header from Vitinha at the top of Donnarumma’s crossbar, the men of Abandoned Pancho only suffered the rhythm of the Parisians who walked around. Seen the calendar to come, players will quickly have to show another face…

Jordan VERETOUT
His appreciation
Veretout overwhelmed and too neutral in the use of the ball
Aligned with Rongier following Kondogbia’s withdrawal, the former Roma midfielder failed to keep up with the pace imposed by PSG. Overwhelmed defensively, he had difficulty recovering the ball. He was hampered by the Parisian pressing and experienced a lot of waste in his transmissions. He was eaten by Kolo Muani on the 4th goal, a match to forget.
Media notes
Rating of The team | 4/10 | He was a step above Rongier, which wasn’t difficult, but still not enough. He tried to resist the waves, disciplined in the withdrawal, and he put a little impact, which allowed him to recover a few balls. But he struggled like the others. |
Rating of Maxifoot | 2/10 | The midfielder passed by Aston Villa foundered at the Parc des Princes. Ineffective in pressing, too neutral with the ball, he was stepped on throughout the game. His scarred face from a missed cross in the middle of the second half alone attests to the terrible match he experienced. And what about this race where he was literally dropped by Kolo Muani at 4-0… |
Rating of FootMercato | 3.5/10 | Back in the starting XI in the absence of Kondogbia, the Olympique de Marseille midfielder was partnered with Rongier in midfield. But like his teammate, the former AS Roma player delivered an average performance. On the offensive side, the French international forced his play and missed numerous passes. Like his partner, he managed too few shifts to try to reverse the trend in midfield against the controlled Parisians. To top it all off, he is completely outpaced by Kolo Muani on the counter which leads to the fourth Parisian goal… |
