Video. Rugby World Cup 2023 – The tears of Will Skelton and the Australians, on the verge of elimination

The Australians are on the verge of elimination after their big defeat against Wales (40-6). Will Skelton, absent for this meeting, could not hold back his tears at the end of the match.

It’s a (great) revolution, Australia could miss the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the first time in its history! Beaten badly by a Welsh team which only surprises, the Wallabies have only six points after three games and are tied with Fiji, who have played a game less (and who will face the two so-called weak teams of this pool C).

Eddie Jones’ men were very marked after this defeat, like Will Skelton, injured and out of this meeting, who had tears in his eyes on the pitch. Third row Rob Valetini was also disappointed, consoled by one of his teammates.

Dominated in all areas of the game, the Australians have never been able or known how to impose their game. They will face Portugal on Sunday October 1st and will now hope that Fiji does not perform flawlessly against Georgia and Portugal.
