In comments relayed by Motorsport.com, Max Verstappen appeared incredulous after qualifying practice at Singapore. “I knew it was already going to be hard to put her on pole, but I didn’t expect that. We were in difficulty throughout the weekend. “I was sliding a lot in all the turns”continues Max Verstappen. “I lost a lot of front grip. In each big braking zone, I was tailing a lot, which caused the front tires to lose load. So I couldn’t hit the brakes the way I wanted, I needed a very gentle approach, otherwise the car would lower too much, and that doesn’t work on a street circuit. It was really, really difficult. I don’t think there’s much we can do. Here it will surely be a stop if nothing crazy happens. To overtake you have to be much faster, and I don’t think we are. It’s a terrible experience.”.
